Food prices are rising sharply at the moment and this affects consumer choices. This results in, among other things, in choosing, for example, cheaper goods of poorer quality. Where do Denmark and the EU stand in relation to international food supplies and what problems arise in order to secure supplies? Should laws and regulations be changed and what consequences does this have in relation to food safety?
Background for the series
In 4 TV programmes, we focus on the conditions and rights of the Danish consumer – also in a time of crisis. The EU has a great influence on the products and services that we use. It is felt i.a. within food, electronics, energy supply and transport. That is why we invite MEPs with experts in the field to hear their views and analyze the situation. We want to hear the Danes about their opinions and attitudes on the 4 different subjects. Are the MEPs working hard enough to ensure consumers the best possible conditions and rights?
